Why was LAYYR created?
Today's personal safety products generally fall into three categories.

Body armor has long been available, but it's typically designed for military, law enforcement, or security professionals. While highly effective for its intended purpose, it's often bulky, overtly tactical in appearance, and not something most people would choose to wear during everyday activities.
There seemed to be a missing option.
Something designed for ordinary life.
LAYYR was created to bridge that gap by combining modern apparel design with discreet protective technology.
What is soft armor?
Soft armor is a flexible form of ballistic protection made from multiple layers of advanced high-strength fibers.
Unlike rigid armor plates, soft armor is designed to bend and move with your body, making it lightweight and comfortable enough for everyday wear.
These materials are engineered with incredibly high tensile strength. When struck by certain handgun rounds, the fibers work together to catch and slow the projectile while spreading its energy across a much larger area of the panel.
Rather than relying on a hard metal plate, soft armor uses thousands of tightly woven or laminated fibers working together to absorb and disperse impact energy.

Why can soft armor be worn every day?
